After reading article after article of guys classifying and categorizing the exotic and rare species known as the “Gamer Girl” I have decided it is time to turn the tables. The following stereotypes are in no way shape or form exaggerated ;] and are in every way 100% based upon my experiences.
The Species: The Romeo
He’s the guy who vows he will never break your heart. A smooth talker who could spend all day reciting awful poetry that’d make Shakespeare turn in his grave or drowning your inboxes with cheesy date fantasies that are so lovey-dovey they make you nauseas. In his mind he’s a Casanova and knows exactly what a lady wants and likes when he’s actually quite oblivious. Known to grow feelings over night and isn’t afraid to throw around that L word.
The Habitat: Very often he may be the “good friend” who doesn’t mind hearing about your issues with your friends and current boyfriend or ex, but is really only waiting for the perfect time to uncomfortably cross that line between friends and more than friends.
The Warning Signs: Loves Final Fantasy, often breaks into emoting at random moments, and has more girl friends than guy friends.
